In the sabiji design, with a lovely patina with red-orange lacing. The connection of the three segments of the shin guard is implemented by profiled hinges, the knee protection, the tateage is very nicely formed by longitudinal flutes.
The lining of the shins is made with gold brocade.
Master Sadayuki 貞行 from the famous Myōchin 明珍 family lived and worked in the mid-16th century in Odawara in Sagami province (Sōshū).
According to the genealogy of the Masuda branch of the Myōchin lineage, mentioned in "Kokon kaji mei hayamidashi 古今甲冑銘早見出", Sadayuki was a student of the 18th generation master, Myochin Sadaie 明珍 貞家.
The genealogy of the Myōchin family, Katchu zukan, states:
„Student of Sadaie, Sadayuki, called ´Manjirô´ (万次郎), lived in Ôshima (大島) in Sagami province, active around Tenbun (天文, 1532-1555), his speciality are kote, son of Kageie (景家).“
